Nathan Gathright is a front-end developer and interactive designer with over 5 years of experience in the industry. He's passionate about responsive design, collaboration, and usability. He's worked with teams large and small to build engaging experiences and execute project strategy for brands, non-profits, and the design community in Dallas. Nathan also serves as a Board Member of the Dallas Society of Visual Communications as the Chair of Special Events.

I worked on a variety of marketing websites, using CMSs like WordPress and Wagtail, for clients like UT Southwestern Medical Center and Chuck Norris’s Kickstart Kids. I built thoroughly tested HTML emails for companies such as Fossil.

I designed and built digital solutions for clients such as McDonald’s, FedEx Office, Midas, AdvoCare, and Make-A-Wish North Texas. I built mobile-first websites, landing pages, banner ads, and advanced tooling such as an automated system to deploy dozens of landings pages for Midas and a fantasy drafting system for the AAF Dallas ADDYs.

I helped small businesses launch their brands by building WordPress sites and designing logos and promotional print materials.

I designed print mail ad campaigns in French and English for a small studio in Waterloo, Belgium, for companies including Ford and Hobbyland.

Board Member

Dallas Society of Visual Communications

The Dallas Society of Visual Communications is a 60-year-old organization that gives creative students and professionals the chance to network and learn from their peers. I started volunteering in 2013 and was asked to join the board in 2014 as Chair of Communications.


National Student Show + Conference

The National Student Show and Conference is the largest volunteer-run non-profit national competition and conference for visual communications students. Held each year in Dallas, Texas, the show annually gives out over $20,000 in prizes and scholarships. In 2015, I joined the team as Co-Chair for the 12th annual NSSC before stepping up to serve as Chair of the 13th annual NSSC.

AAF Ad Club (UNT chapter)

I led the branding and communications of the UNT Ad Club in all publications and social media, and competed in the 2012 AAF National Student Advertising Competition for UNT's inaugural team for Nissan.
